1950 - Was born in Covington, Kentucky on June 22, 1950. He spent most of his childhood in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, where he graduated from high school in 1969. Following high school, He joined the workforce as a certified EEG technologist at EEG Incorporated.
• 1974 •

1974 - He started attend Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri as a biology major with double minors in chemistry and anthropology. Following his departure from EEG, Marc worked various quality jobs ranging from lab manager to quality assurance engineer.
• 1989 •

1989 - He started a consulting and training business to provide expertise in documentation & configuration management, quality assurance & quality planning systems, and manufacturing & assembly systems. Marc featured over 30 years of experience working in mixed, high-risk manufacturing environments for various industries, including military, consumer, and automotive.
• 1995 •

1995 - started, one of the first 100,000 web sites on the internet, and the earliest web site focused on Quality Assurance and Business Standards.
• 2003 •

From - 2003 to 2015 Marc expanded the web site from a general quality assurance, ISO 9001 and TS 16949/Automotive focused web site to cover many collateral business standards as well as some standards which were unrelated such as AS9100 and various medical device manufacturing standards both national and international such as Brazil's ANVISA. T
• 2004 •

2004 - From 2004 Marc primary job became maintaining the discussion forum, and at the same time learning as forum members discuss quality assurance topics related to many fields including regulated industries such as aerospace requirements (such as AS9100), various medical device regulations (e.g.: ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, etc.) and other FDA regulated industries. By 2004 the web site of Marc was very popular and was changing from a hobby to a full time endeavor. Over the following 10 years the web site of Marc has dominated most of Marc time.
• 2008 •

2008 - From 2008 to 2014 the majority of Marc time has been spent keeping Elsmar.com online. He continued to do some training though infrequently due to the demands of keeping the web site online.
